Self-Guided Trips
Pontoon Boats and Rafts
The day will start with an instructor covering safety,
paddling strokes, and proper techniques for river
paddling.
We start out early by shuttling your vehicle to the
take-out, then head to the river where paddling
techniques and safety are explained and practiced.
Then you're on your own with your gear and map to
continue down the river. There may be other guests
in pontoon boats or rafts with you depending upon
that day's rentals, but you will probably split up after
the instruction.
Full Day and 1/2 day trips available. Equipment will
be picked up at the take-out at the designated time.
Equipment will include boat, oars, and life jacket. All
personal gear, cameras, fishing gear etc..should be
properly secured on the boat in the event of
capsizing. TRUE NORTH EXPEDITIONS ASSUMES
NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR PERSONAL GEAR.
All trash MUST BE packed out.

vacation! Basic packages include tent, sleeping bag,
cookware, and firewood. You supply the food. There
are several beautiful campgrounds that are easy to get
to, and most have river frontage. We'll take care of the
camp set up and break down, you just show up. Call
for availability, high volume weekends such as 4th of
July, Memorial and Labor Day, should be reserved in
advance.
